While their toll free access line is still available, the local lines servicing the SMAR region have been disconnected. SMAR members relying on MRIS dial-up access must find alternative services. Any service that connects you to the web should be sufficient to reach Matrix and Keystone and many MRIS subscribers already have web access accounts that are part of their high-speed DSL or Cable service plans. The removal of dial up access should have minimal effect on them.
But some members are in areas where dial-up access is the only available option and members have complained that the move by MRIS represents a hidden price increase. MRIS has suggested one option to mitigate the costs: a free web service such as Net Zero. Please pay attention to the limitations of this option, which usually includes heavy ads, limited line availability, and slower speeds. |

SMAR Dues Billing Reminder
TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP - NOVEMBER 10, 2007 If you have already paid your dues please disregard this notice. Letters were mailed on Tuesday, October 16, to Brokers/Managers/Designated REALTORS® with updated information regarding agents who have not paid dues. If dues are not paid by November 10, 2007 membership will be terminated and SentriLock access will be deactivated. A former member who has had his/her membership terminated for nonpayment of dues, may apply for membership in the same manner prescribed for new applicants for membership, after making payment in full of all accounts due as of the date of termination (including payment of the $200.00 application fee).
