Greetings Members,
 
We have been working with a few very dedicated people to get the Public Awareness Committee up and functioning.   We need you help!  NAR is updating its "Surround Sound" initiatives and we need a few extra people to help get it off the ground.  There has never been a more important time than now to keep a positive outlook on all the negative media.  As you know, every real estate market is different and Southern Maryland is doing better than most.  We MUST convey this information to the public as well as our colleagues so we can help the buyers and sellers in our area.  Helping others will of course help all of us be more successful with our business.

Public Awareness Committee

Purpose:  The Committee seeks to foster a proactive relationship with the local news media, with the SMAR membership, the Board of Directors and various Committees to promote the activities of SMAR and its members.  The Committee seeks to be the voice of SMAR to consumers regarding issues that most affect homeowners and others interested in real estate and a source of information to the consumers that we serve.  Additionally, the Committee seeks to increase public awareness regarding the benefits of using a REALTOR® and to increase member awareness regarding the benefits of belonging to SMAR.
