Southern Maryland Food Bank
In Dire Need of Non-perishable Food Donations
There is an incredible shortage at the Southern Maryland Food Bank of non-perishable foods. The Food Bank serves all three Southern Maryland counties, and provides food for many, many families who otherwise would not have anything to eat. As part of SMAR's efforts to help our communities, we are encouraging non-perishable food donations for the foreseeable future.
Times are tough for everyone, (they are VERY tough for those of us in the real estate business), and most of us are able to afford to feed our families, but there are sooooo many of our neighbors who cannot.
The SMAR Community Relations Committee is asking each and every member to consider picking up just a 'few dollars' worth of extra groceries the next time you are out shopping, and drop them off at one of the locations listed below. Of particular need are cereal, soups, canned vegetables and fruits. By combining all of the 'few dollars' worth of donations we can end up with a sizable donation which will help so many of our neighbors.
