One of the committee's initiatives is regular communication to the public via print media.  The ad campaign "kick off" is starting with The County Times Newspaper that serves St. Mary's County. 

On April 1, 2010 Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS® launched a Public Awareness Campaign in The County Times Newspaper. With our members' help as ad sponsors, we will be able to run a public service type ad once or twice a month--possibly more.   

The surrounding ad squares are approximately 2" x 2", almost a business card size.  The cost of an ad is $45 per square.  This is a cost effective way to promote your business as well as further the goal of SMAR's Public Awareness Committee.
