We just received information from Lemuel Carpenter regarding the Charles County Neighborhood Conservation Initiative Down Payment Assistance Loan Program.  Today, an NCI Down Payment Assistance Loan was canceled when a home buyer canceled the purchase contract and settlement.        Paula: This is the statement that makes it sound as though because of this one cancellation, money is once again available.
 

As a result, the County is now accepting (until NCI DPA funds have been committed) completed Charles County NCI Down Payment Assistance Loan Program Applications with all attachments from participating NCI Lenders. Funds are limited to up to one NCI DPA loan at $39,999 or two NCI DPA loans at $14,999. Subject NCI DPA applications need to be processed and funds committed by / before mid- July 2010.
