Why the Token Method Was Selected

Top notch IT professionals were charged with carefully researching all available Secure Login methods for MRIS.  They selected the SAFEMLS® token for the following reasons.  The SAFEMLS® token was specifically designed for the real estate industry.  It has proven itself effective in use at 34 MLSs nationwide, where it is used by a quarter of a million real estate professionals.  The token is a totally mobile application and can be used on any computer with Internet access, anywhere in the world.  Millions of passwords have been loaded into each token.  Its battery lasts for at least seven years.  The token requires no satellite or Internet connection; it is fully self-contained and therefore requires no usage fees. It can be made available to existing MRIS subscribers at no additional cost. Technology is currently being developed for text messaging type methods of conveying SAFEMLS® passwords through your cell phone, PDA, and lockbox.  When testing is complete on these new methods, they will be introduced as alternatives to the token, but additional fees will be involved, as they are with other wireless means of communication.  The token allows you to avoid additional fees.
