The SMAR Awards of Excellence Application Packages have been mailed to every Primary member's home address. If you have not received a package and are a Primary member of SMAR, you may click here to download the application package. The deadline for submission is February 1st by 5 p.m. All applications (whether mailed or hand delivered) must be received by February 1st at 5 p.m. No fax copies will be accepted.

NEW Real Estate Commission Statement on Teams
On November 21, 2007, the Maryland Real Estate Commission adopted a policy statement addressing teams that provide real estate brokerage services from within a real estate brokerage. The Commission also adopted a series of practice pointers concerning advertising and dual agency issues as they relate to team practice. MRIS Secure Login Update
An announcement from MRIS Secure Login Full Cutover Date Announced MRIS really appreciates your support in the implementation of Secure Login! All tokens have now been mailed to subscribers. If you have not received your token, please contact the Helpdesk at 301-838-7200 so we can ensure proper delivery. In order to give you time to adjust to Secure Login, you will be able to take advantage of a transitional period this month. You will have the option to access the system the Traditional way or via Secure Login for the next few weeks. January 28 is the date we will have a full cutover to Secure Login. Full cutover means that all login access to Matrix, Keystone and MRIS.com will require a User ID, PIN, and token password. We are committed to ensuring that you avoid any service interruption when the full cutover occurs. The MRIS helpdesk is always pleased to assist you, should you have questions about the process. Avoid the last-minute rush. Please enroll your token and try it out now; chances are you won't need to call, but in case you do--now's the time to avoid the rush. To date, over 24,000 subscribers have successfully enrolled their tokens. Please enroll and start using your Secure Login token as soon as it arrives! If you need more information, please take advantage of presentations offered by the Education Department.
